Sonnet 3
I've lived in County Louth all my life, It's beauty always fills me with great joy. While parent's age and all my dreams float by, This place has been an outpost for my love. It's pagentries of colours ,red and white, It's history and it's stories often told, Are but mere stirrings in a tidal pool, Are but a cry from March's chilling winds. Like desert sand it finds itself new shapes, These patterns that we often take as real, Sail on upon a sea of such great scale, It mocks that which we struggle to create. I am nothing, from nowhere,so are you. I lived in Louth and then I passed on through. __________________ Thomas
